As Fox News reports, a biblical site only discovered in the last 20 years will soon be available to the public. John 9 describes a scene in which Jesus told a man born blind to wash in the pool of Siloam. The story and the location were regarded a myth until 2004, when a pipe repair crew uncovered steps leading to a broad, flat surface and coins from the first century. Archaeologists confirmed it to be the pool mentioned in John's Gospel.

John's Gospel is sometimes thought to be a "spiritual" narrative, written long after the events it describes and without eyewitness detail. But, as Dr. Paul Anderson of George Fox University writes, "John has more empirical (sensorily attributed) references, topographical details, and archaeologically attested features than all the other gospels combined—canonical and otherwise."

In fact, John himself claimed to be writing about that "which we have seen with our eyes." Soon, for the first time in 2,000 years, the public will be able to see for themselves what he saw.
